Medical group's PAC supporting Fleming
ATLANTA — The Medical Association of Georgia’s political action committee, GAMPAC, is throwing its support to challenger Barry Fleming, a lawyer, against incumbent Paul Broun, a medical doctor, in the Republican primary for Congress from the 10th District.
“The bottom line is that we wouldn’t have tort reform in Georgia today without Barry’s leadership,” said GAMPAC Chairman Ben Cheek. “He chaired the House committee that originally passed tort reform in 2005 and he helped stave off multiple legislative attempts to dilute the tort reform bill in 2007 and 2008.”
