DocSite, a leading provider of patient registries and point-of-care decision support to the healthcare market, today announced a multi-year agreement with the American College of Physicians (ACP) to integrate the ACP’s prestigious PIERâ„¢ (Physicians’ Information and Education Resource) content into DocSite’s patient registry applications providing ACP vetted clinical guidance at the point-of-care. Studies suggest patient registries and point-of-care decision support systems provide the most effective pathway to improved patient care quality.
Additionally, the systems tend to be much less expensive to deploy and maintain than prevailing Electronic Medical Record Systems. The combined offering will enable physicians to review evidence-based medical content and guidelines within their normal clinical workflow.
Evidence-based medicine has become increasingly important in today’s medical profession to ensure clinical practice is based on sound scientific evidence.
